Research does not begin with a model name.
In real contexts, the question is rarely whether to use AI. It is which information is being missed, which decisions rely on experience, and which steps can be validated. Data, models, and systems gain a shared direction only after the problem is clear.
From question to system
A sustainable R&D process must address three dimensions at the same time:
Whether the problem comes from a real workflow;
Whether the data is sufficient to support judgment;
Whether the result can return to human action.
A model is only one part of a system. Research creates value by making the relationships between parts understandable, testable, and reusable in the next iteration.
How we document research
Every research effort should leave behind its question, method, limitations, and next step. The record does not hide uncertainty; it shows where conclusions came from and what remains unanswered.
